Fresh from his latest EP on Poker Flat Alex Niggemann continues his fluid analogue take on deep house with a return to Tsuba. Alex’s second appearance on the label run by Kevin Griffiths features two early morning and retro house cuts; kicking off with “The point of no return” that delves into early 90’s Chicago drums and Detroit inspired strings.
Alex continues to re-interpret his more electronic sound with “Cite” a massively sharp, rolling combination of heady tech house and haunting vocals that’s collides on a vintage acid backdrop.
2011 marks Tsuba’s Fifth birthday and this release showcases all new look artwork by hotly tipped designer Sam Renwick. After 5 years Tsuba maintains its position as one of the the UKs foremost imprints for underground house music with an artist roster including Rio Padice, Sascha Dive, Tazz, Justin Drake, Ethyl & Huxley and label head Kevin Griffiths.
