Gareth Emery releases debut artist album – “Northern Lights”

It is a rare occasion when one artist can represent the face of an entire genre, but that
only makes it all the more special when it occurs..

He may have seemingly come from nowhere to become not only one of the youngest dj’s to
enter DJ Mag’s coveted top 10, but also one of the most in demand remixers. He may be
one of hardest working dj’s touring around the worlds biggest and most impressive events
such as Ultra Music Festival, Global Gathering, Nature One, Creamfields and Dance Valley.
He may even be the welcome link connecting trance, techno and house…

Gareth Emery has his production sound locked, and while the popularity surrounding him
has reached explosive proportions over the last year, the young Brit has been composing
his debut full length album; “Northern Lights”.

While each track on the much-anticipated long player possesses its own unique structure
the entire album has the beating heart of harmony collected from his many experiences
at some of the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. Instead of committing himself to a one
dimensional side of electronic music, his talent could only have been fashioned by a sheer
diversity of sounds and polished production qualities; eliciting excited and inspiring
Trance moments with deep warm compositions sometimes even complimented with
classical influences.

While “Northern Lights” comes complete with instant dance floor tracks like “Sanctuary”,
Gareth constantly changes momentum; executing his classical piano education with
vitality and fresh euphoric energy on “Too Dark Tonight” and “Fight The Sunrise”.
Through “Stars” and “Citadel”, Gareth employs an endlessly array of synthetic elements
and irresistible grooves, managing to inject not only home ambience but also arena
filling presence. Gareth makes use of every anthemic opportunity and delivers the first
single to be released from the album, “Sanctuary” proving his strong creative ability to
weave organic live vocals elements with flashes of hands in the air memories.
Contrasting to absorbing pads and arps, also expect remarkable digital bass lines as
the centerpiece, surrounded by washes of synth swells and penetrating techno drums.

Celebrating the launch of his “Northern Lights” album, Gareth Emery will be performing
a spectacular one-off concert style event in the first performance of its kind by a UK
trance artist.

Having been responsible for numerous sellouts at the world’s no.1 club Sankeys,
Manchester; Gareth Emery and Garuda join forces with one of the UK’s newest bearers
of the Trance sound, Digital Society for an epic Arena show at the stunning O2
Academy in Leeds alongside “Sanctuary” remixer and crowd favorite Sean Tyas.
Kick starting his worldwide album tour in remarkable fashion, Gareth Emery’s
unique four house DJ and Live set combination at the O2 Academy Leeds will be
memorably captured on film and come complete with a wealth of exclusive features
including next generation LEDs, CO2 cannons, dancers and of course stunning sound.

Gareth Emery’s debut artist album “Northern Lights” is a bright labyrinth of exotic and
dynamic tracks and between soaring lazer-splicing synths he innovates his own unique
style of progressive melodies and soothing vocals.
