MFU Records don’t pull any punches, as they launch their quest to takeover every major dance floor across the world with a huge Tim Mason remix of a true classic.
Reaching Top 10 status in the UK Top 40 in 1998 & nominated for a prestigious Ivor Norvello award, Manchester band Lucid’s “I can’t help myself” was widely recognised as one of the early tracks that helped to pioneer the Trance scene.
Euphoric synths and strings gave it a sound favoured by the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules & many others, whilst it’s deep throbbing baseline & house groove catered for luminaries such as Sasha, Carl Cox & Pete Tong giving this monster wide range appeal.
Forward to 2011, and the new kind of the block DJ/Producer Tim Mason doesn’t fail when adding his own unmistakable big room sound to take this track back to those dizzy heights. Tim enjoyed massive success with his own release “The Moment” on Size Records earlier this year and is certainly on the path towards great things with remixes of Red Hot Chilli Peppers & Pnau.
HUGE vocal drops, that unmistakeable riff, and finally, when you feel that you can’t take no more, that deep, dirty baseline groove takes the roof off.
Originally champed by Steve Angello, a bailout of 15 copies has seen the track supported by every big hitter in the world over the summer, including SHM (Collectively) Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, David Guetta, Tiesto, Mark Knight and Tim Mason himself.
