Tiesto – Magikal Journey – The Hits Collection 1998-2008

Tiesto is one of the world’s most popular and successful DJs. He constantly tops
charts with his varied productions and collaborations while maintaining a tour
schedule that sees him circumnavigating the globe every year.
A best of double album would be a tough ask for most DJs to come up with, but with
Tiesto it feels like a logical next step. Kaleidoscope showed the wide influences that
keep Tiesto inspired to write and with Magikal Journey we can hear the evolution of
of his sound.

Disc One:
The first four tracks are from ‘In My Memory’, Tiesto’s first artist album, the standout
track for me being ‘Suburban Train’.
Each track is an absolute classic with an amazing back story attached, ‘Traffic’ was the
first instrumental to reach no.1 in the Netherlands for 23 years. ‘Dance4Life’ was written
when Tiesto became the official worldwide ambassador for the dance4life foundation,
Kofi Annan saying “dance4life is a wonderful example of how the talent and strength
of young people can energise our strengths..“.

Disc Two:
The second disc is a collection of some of the finer remixes that have been made of Tiesto’s
productions. Sean Tyas, Laidback Luke, Richard Durand all feature to create a killer lineup
of some amazing dance floor classics with a few brand new remixes thrown in as well.
This double album is a brief sample of the enormous, varied and highly successful career
of the world’s most iconic DJs…if you are vaguely into dance music this album is for you…

Xelon Entertainment’s sub-label ‘405 Recordings’ will release a compilation of Tiësto’s
greatest hits, including 2 previously unreleased tracks and some brand new remixes.
On this 2x CD release you will find a collection of the greatest tracks from Tiësto, such
as: ‘Flight 643,’ ‘Traffic’ and ‘Suburban Train.’ Also featuring his collaborations with: BT,
Junkie XL, Maxi Jazz, two previously unreleased tracks: ‘Magikal Circus’ and ‘Goldrush’
and new remixes from the likes of: Sean Tyas, Richard Durand, Myon & Shane 54 and
Bart Claessen. Finally, the first 3 tracks on the second disc, are all brand new remixes
from Tiësto himself!
